GeoTagCopy makes sense when

When HoudahGeo may fit better
Use a larger tool if you need map editing, reverse geocoding, video geotagging, or Apple Photos and Lightroom integration. GeoTagCopy is for repairing missing GPS on camera files after the shoot.
What GeoTagCopy is trying to be
It is not trying to clone a full geocoding suite. It is for the moment when the location data is already sitting in your phone photos and you just need to move it onto the camera files.
